Dr John Price offers a wide range of consultancy services and has experience across many different areas.

Television and Radio
John was the Historical Consultant for series one of Lucy Worsley’s Victorian Murder Club, first broadcast on BBC 2 in January 2026. He has also appeared on Who Do You Think You Are Australia, BBC Breakfast, BBC Inside Out London, and London Live. He has appeared on the BBC London Radio Robert Elms Show on several occasions, and also on BBC Radio 4, and the World Service.

Workplace Training
John has worked with various partners to design and deliver workplace training programmes that utilise history and heritage. John was a consultant and contributor to a Black British History Workplace Development Training Programme for Lewisham Council. He also devised and delivered staff development workshops for the London Fire Brigade that focussed on the 1981 New Cross Fire and its wider impact.

History and Heritage Projects
John works with organisations to scope, design, develop, and deliver history and heritage projects related to their work. This includes researching and writing funding applications as well as developing projects. Most recently John worked with the Deptford Ragged Trust and the Deptford Ragged School Archive to design and deliver a National Lottery Heritage Fund project titled, ‘Educating Deptford: The Deptford Ragged School and its place in the community’. He also worked with the Gerald Moore Gallery on a successful application to the Arts Council England for an innovative co-curation project in partnership with local schools.
